Liquid Dyes
Our Standard Liquid Dyes (SLD item numbers) are great for coloring candle gel or standard paraffin wax candles. They are oil soluble, so they allow easy mixing with gel. Our new Highly Concentrated Liquid Dyes (EVO item numbers) are 50% stronger than our standard liquid dyes and are formulated with eco-friendly ingredients. These dyes are completely odorless and are gel safe.

Pigment Dyes
Candlewic offeres two different types of pigment dyes. Our BC pigment dyes cover over dipped items faster with a heavier buildup of color, while using less amounts of pigment. They are two to three times stronger in coloring than our original CM pigment dyes, which are especially suited for sculptered candles.

Powdered Dyes
These dyes must be measured with a very good scale to be sure weights are accurate. Powder hydrocarbon oil or stearic soluble dyes can be mixed to achieve any hue or shade of color. For initial evaluation use 1 oz. per 50 pounds of wax. The color must be completely dissolved and should not be judged until after the wax has hardened for at least three hours.
