Candle Wicks Offered

Candlewic has one of the largest inventories of raw wicking and pre-waxed wick assemblies in the US. We offer all of our wicks in small or large rolls and as pre-waxed wick assemblies. Every wick type listed is available in either 4 or 8 oz. rolls or in factory sized rolls. Factory sized rolls can vary by wick family. Pre-waxed wick assemblies will take all the work out of making tea-lights, floaters, votives and jar candles. The wick can be made to your specifications using our unique Custom Wick Builder.

Zinc Cored Wicks (Container, Votive, and Tea Light Candles)
Zinc core wicking is used in many applications such as tea-lights, votives and container candles. Zinc burns the coolest of all the cored wicks and offers the most rigidity. These wicks are constructed by using 100% natural fibers in the cover with the zinc core. Zinc cored wicks are most effective in paraffin based waxes and VersaGel, they are not recommended for use in natural/renewable waxes. If using a one-pour wax you may need to increase in size.

Paper Cored Wicks (Votive, Tea Light, and Container Candles)
Paper core wicking can be used in applications such as votives and container candles. Paper core wicks do not burn as hot as cotton but they do offer more rigidity. These wicks are constructed of 100% natural fibers with paper core. These wicks are effective in paraffin-based waxes.

Cotton Cored Wicks
Cotton core wicking is for applications such as votives, pillars and containers. Cotton core wicks produce the hottest flame of all the cored wicks and will help minimize carbon buildup. These wicks are constructed of 100% natural fibers. These wicks are effective in paraffin-based waxes and natural/renewable waxes.

Square Braided Wicks (Pillar, Taper, and Large Container Candles)
Square braided wicks were originally designed for beeswax candles but can be used in all types of waxes. Their open construction and special treatment make them a good selection for viscous material (beeswax and vegetable waxes). Square wick is designed to give you a curl when it is burned to minimize carbon buildup. This wick is constructed of 100% natural fibers with a special treatment. This wick is very effective in large containers or as custom wick assemblies. Available in 8 oz. rolls and 3 lb. bulk rolls.

Flat Braided Wicks (Pillar and Taper Candles)
This wick is designed for use in pillars and tapers. This wick gives a slight curl when burning which reduces carbon buildup and makes the wicks self-trimming. This wick is ideal for hand dipping and extruding and dipping machines. This wick is constructed
of 100% natural fibers with a chemical treatment to improve the burn performance. These wicks are effective in paraffin-based waxes. Available in 8 oz. rolls and 3 lb. bulk rolls.

LX Series Wicks (Container, Votive, and Pillar Candles)
The LX series wick is a flat braided wick stabilizing threads and a special treatment. It is designed to improve the burning of solid scented, solid colored votives, and container and pillar candles. The LX series offers solid wick construction from pure ring spun cotton yarn, advanced treatment that is designed to reduce after glow, smoke and coking (soot), and self-trimming wick position that minimizes or eliminates blooming (mushrooming). Available in 4 oz rolls and 2.2 lb.bulk rolls.

RRD Series Wicks
The RRD series is a directional round wick with a cotton core and tension threads. It is designed to improve the burning of solid scented, solid colored votive and container candles. These wicks are impregnated with a NST treatment (sodium based) that will enable the wick to burn properly in the vegetable based waxes. The RRD series offers a solid wick construction from pure ring spun cotton, a solution for vegetable wick problems with the NST treatment, and self-trimming wick position that minimizes or eliminates blooming (mushrooming). Available in 4 oz. rolls and 2.2 lb. bulk rolls.

TL Wicks
The TL series is a specialty flat wick with stabilizing threads. It is designed to improve the burning solid colored, tea light and votive candles. Tea-light wicks are treated with the NST2 treatment. The TL series offers solid wick construction from pure ring spun cotton yarn, self-trimming wick position that minimizes or eliminates carbon (mushrooming), available with advanced chemical treatment that reduce afterglow, smoke and soot. Hemp Cored Wicks
Hemp cored wicks are 100% hemp core enclosed in a cotton sleeve. These wicks offer you very good rigidity during the production of container candles. ECO Series Wicks
The ECO series is a specialty flat wick braided with interwoven paper threads. This braiding technique gives the ECO series an increased stability level found only in square braided wicks. The ECO series is designed to improve the burning of solid scented, solid colored, pillar and container candles and has been found to perform very well in paraffin / natural wax blends. The ECO series has it's own special chemical treatment which significantly reduces the afterglow normally seen in wicks containing paper.

HZL Series Wicks
HZL series is a specialty wick that is flat with tension threads a special "C" treatment. They are designed to improve burning characteristics of solid colored / solid scented candles and have been found to be very effective when used with clear candle gels. The HZL series offer you:

•  Solid wick construction from pure ring spun cotton yarn
•  Advanced chemical treatment that reduces afterglow, smoke and soot
•  Self trimming wick positions that minimizes or eliminates carbon deposits (Mushrooming)

HTP Wicks
HTP is a wick designed to provide the benefits of a self-trimming wick posture with rigidity found in cored wick. This rigidity is due to a specialty yarn fiber that is incorporated into the construction of the braid. This specialty yarn, which is 100% natural fibers increases the burn temperature, which results in less carbon buildup (Mushrooming). This is a good all around wick for paraffin, gel and vegetable waxes that require hotter burning applications.

PK Series Wicks
The PK series is a specialty flat braided wick that is designed to improve the burning of scented and unscented, solid colored, votive, pillar and container candles that are paraffin based. The PK series has proved successful in both molded and pressed applications.

P Series Wicks
P series wicks are directional round wicks with a paper core and tension threads. They are designed to improve the burning solid scented, solid colored votive and container candles. All P series wicks are treated with the NST 2 treatment.
The P series offers you: Solid wick construction from pure ring spun cotton yarn; Advanced chemical treatment that reduces afterglow, smoke and soot; Self-trimming wick position that minimizes or eliminates carbon deposits (Mushrooming).
