Stearic can also be used in mottled candles in small percentages to minimize fragrance migration without greatly affecting the mottling. This is very effective in both container and freestanding mottled candles. It is suggested you start by adding 2-3% by weight to your paraffin wax; higher percentage usage can inhibit the mottling.
